Ai2SA being vendor independent and partaking on numerous strategic initiatives to further our Control & Instrumentation industry attend various bi lateral trade events one of which has led to some China based companies asking us to assist in establishing them locally in South Africa. While this may be seen as a threat to local established businesses it also provides opportunities to grow employment by way of savings realized due to deemed lower cost of products from China and to drive overall costs down. Traditionally China products may have been deemed to be of inferior quality however suppliers we are speaking to have numerous certifications in place. Please note no prejudice is intended with the short form study and we are only trying to elicit an response from local market in order to better advise foreign nations who has expressed interest to do business in Africa. Feel free to contact author for more information in petrus.klopper@ai2sa.co.za / 082 559 7437 PS the questionnaire is work in progress so feel free to advise re content to also be considered.
